About Coleman Benefit Advisors
Lori Coleman, Founding Partner
Lori has over 35 years of experience as a licensed attorney, healthcare facility general counsel, and employee benefits and human resources consultant. She is a featured sexual harassment trainer and investigator. She also acts as a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Panel Arbitrator.
Ms. Coleman received her Bachelor of Science degree in public administration from USC with an emphasis in hospital administration. She received her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law.
After gaining experience with several Los Angeles civil litigation law firms, she acted as corporate counsel to a premier out-patient surgery center in Orange County, CA. While there she handled all risk management, insurance contracting and acted as human resources director.
In her practice, Lori advises employers and employees on critical compliance issues. Her extensive experience gives a big picture view of HR compliance requirements with a practical application.
Since the founding of CBA in 1995, Lori has represented all industries and is adept at quickly addressing and resolving issues and potential exposure facing employers today.
Joe Genova, Partner
Joe oversees the day-to-day operations of our employee benefits book of business and brings deep experience working with employer groups of all sizes and complexities. He is known for delivering white-glove service and has built a strong reputation among both clients and industry partners.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from UCLA and proudly holds multiple industry designations, including Certified Self-Funding Specialist (CSFS). His background includes roles at a major insurance carrier and the largest general agency in the country, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the benefits landscape.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. An avid Los Angeles Rams fan, he also loves exploring the outdoors whenever possible.
